Costa Coffee provides ‘ID as a service’ product to Sterling for efficient background screening of candidates through facial recognition

Sterling, a provider of background screening services, announces a landmark partnership with Costa Coffee to provide its ‘ID as a service’ product, which makes use of innovative facial recognition technology to streamline employee screening, to support the company’s Right to Work process.

By allowing candidates to provide a ‘selfie’ along with a photo of their official documents, the two are instantly cross-referenced. Costa Coffee realizes, following a robust consultation with Sterling, that the former has improved its efficiency of their background screening program, and has received positive feedback from candidates.
